Teale Kelly-Wright is a Bellingen-based 15 year-old multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, broadcaster and storyteller whose musical world spans brass, strings, contemporary performance and voice. Playing trumpet, cornet, flugelhorn, guitar, and voice, Teale brings a warm, expressive sound and a passion for performance to every stage and ensemble.

A dedicated trumpet player, Teale performs with the Bellingen Youth Orchestra and the North Coast Festival Orchestra. Through the North Coast Festival Orchestra, Teale has performed as a trumpet player at the Sydney Opera House, taking part in a major orchestral performance that brought young musicians from across the North Coast together on one of Australia’s most iconic stages.

Teale is also involved with the North Coast Compass Music Festival, celebrating and connecting young musicians and artists from across the region. As a vocalist, Teale has also performed solo at the Sydney Opera House twice, adding a strong vocal presence to his diverse musical background. Teale has also performed as a Featured Artist in Pulse Alive and Schools Spectacular to a crowd of 20,000, while maintaining regular gigs through out the North Coast.

Beyond the stage, Teale channels his love of music and storytelling into broadcasting. He hosts his own radio show on Triple B FM, championing emerging artists, local talent and creative voices while sharing stories from the community. As a regional youth reporter for ABC, he continues to spotlight the people, places and stories that shape regional Australia.

Teale’s work across music, broadcasting and community storytelling is driven by a belief in creativity as a way to connect people, amplify regional voices and create opportunities for young artists.
